A complaint must be filed with MCHR within 180 days from the last date of discrimination. If it is an employment situation that happened more than 180 days ago but less than 300, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) can investigate your complaint. If it is a housing situation that occurred more than 180 days ago but less than 365, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) can investigate.
